Biloxi Performing Arts

Thank you for visiting the Biloxi School District Department of Performing Arts.  The Biloxi School District is proud to offer a comprehensive list of fine arts instruction to all our students.  The City of Biloxi has a vibrant art and music scene and has long supported arts education in its public schools.

The Biloxi School District has been recognized by regional, state, and national organizations for its artistic achievements. In 2014 the district was named one of the "Best Communities for Music Education in America" by the National Association of Music Merchants Foundation (NAMM) and has received this distinction each year since.

Biloxi High School also received the 2015 SupportMusic Merit Award by the NAMM Foundation.

In 2015 the Mississippi Alliance of Arts Education awarded Biloxi High School with the 2015 "School of Excellence Award" for making the arts an integral part of the core curriculum.

Students are exposed to the arts throughout their time in the Biloxi School District with many taking advantage of the variety of programs (elementary music and art, secondary art, band, choir, orchestra, class piano, and theater) offered at the elementary, junior high, and high school level.
